Homes Built By Volunteers

New Construction

We work with members of the local community to get them into a good, safe, and affordable house to make their home. Even when that means we have to build it ourselves! Your help here is constantly needed, and always appreciated.

This is our most active program and perpetually needs volunteers!

At our Resale Store we collect donations from the community, and sell them at HUGE discounts from what you would find at a first-hand store. These sales directly fund our construction projects. At the Shires ReSale Store, you can volunteer in the store or with weekly donation pick-ups.

Repair

↑This Became This!↓

Through our Home Repair Program, we do minor home repairs and build ramps with people in need of affordable repair solutions. Our ramp projects have helped homeowners stay in their houses and come home from health care facilities. Helping homeowners remain safely in their houses is critical work here in Bennington County.
