Summer Activities 2024

Have you seen us around town? We have been going to different events with our pop up tent to promote our presence in the community, tell people about our programs, and recruit volunteers. 

Recently we had two Manchester StreetFests, Norman’s Attic in Arlington, and Touch a Truck in Manchester. At these events we bring brand new 2x4s and ask members of the community to write on them. These messages vary from a simple signature, to a “welcome home” and even pictures drawn! We then use these pieces of lumber in the next home we build, as a way to get more community members involved. 

At Touch a Truck (Sponsored by Cota & Cota) we also brought our box truck! Children were checking out fire trucks, dump trucks, large construction equipment, and more. However, the alure of a big box truck was just as powerful, and they loved playing in and checking out our truck (with supervision, of course). 

We are so grateful to the community we are in to have these events for us to participate in, and we look forward to the next one!
