Raising Funds for Affordable Housing in Bennington County
The Win Hoyt Golf Tournament is a beloved annual tradition that brings together local golfers, community members, and supporters to raise funds for affordable housing in Bennington County. Hosted by Bennington County Habitat for Humanity, this event is more than a day on the green — it’s a powerful force for good that helps build homes and hope for families throughout the region.
Now in its 34th year, the tournament continues to grow in both impact and participation, drawing players from across Vermont and beyond for a day of fun, fellowship, and philanthropy.
This event proudly honors the life and legacy of Win Hoyt — a longtime Manchester resident, World War II veteran, and tireless advocate for his community. Win believed in lifting others up, whether through education, conservation, or civic engagement. His passion for service helped shape organizations like Hildene and the Ekwanok Scholarship Fund, and today, his spirit lives on in this annual tournament that carries his name.
By participating, you help keep that spirit alive — supporting the work of Habitat for Humanity to ensure everyone has a decent, affordable place to live.
Our 34th annual Win Hoyt Golf Tournament, held on a picture-perfect September day at Manchester Country Club, was our most successful yet! With 27 foursomes playing in support of Habitat’s mission, we raised more funds than ever before to help build homes in Bennington County.
